Message to see where the mark was? I do that anytime I change timing belts or chains. After replacing TB timing mark should be in same place as before if all done correctly provided you didn't disturb the timing adjuster doring the work?

You have stuck lifter(s). Add some Marvel Mystery oil (MMO) to the oil and let the detergents work a bit.

What oil brand and weight is presently in there?

It is reasonable that the oil pump picked up some crap and it is stuck in the lifter(s).

If you need to go thru several oil changes to clear lifter(s)don't put expensive syn in there just a decent dino 10w 30 might still have to keep adding the MMO to keep the detergents high. There are other lifter clean up products out there like Justin Brothers products, etc.
